I’m absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news – The Petite Lady is now an award-winning brand after being chosen as one of Theo Paphitis’ #SBS (Small Business Sunday) winners!

On 24th September 2025, I tweeted Theo about my new business during his weekly #SBS event — and to my surprise and delight, he selected The Petite Lady as one of six winners that week. Theo, one of the UK’s most well-known retail entrepreneurs and the star of BBC’s Dragons’ Den, shared my post with his 800,000+ followers across Instagram, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn.
The result? A huge boost in website traffic, an influx of new members to The Short Girls Club, and a wave of incredible support from new customers and fellow small business owners.

#SBS, short for Small Business Sunday, was created by Theo Paphitis back in 2010 to celebrate and support small businesses across the UK. Every Sunday, thousands of entrepreneurs post about their businesses between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm, and Theo chooses six to share with his audience every Monday at 8:00 pm.
Over 4,000 businesses have now been featured as #SBS winners, gaining not only valuable exposure but also access to an amazing community of like-minded entrepreneurs. Winners are also profiled on the official #SBS website, invited to the annual networking event, and become part of a supportive network designed to help small businesses grow and thrive.

Winning #SBS is a huge milestone – especially as I only launched The Petite Lady at the beginning of September 2025. It was the first time I entered, so being recognised so quickly by someone as respected in the retail industry as Theo is truly special.

Here’s what I shared when I found out I won:
“I only launched my business at the beginning of the month, and it was the first time I entered, so I’m thrilled to have been selected by Theo. It’s been tough trying to raise our profile, but Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”
This recognition not only validates the purpose behind The Petite Lady – celebrating and empowering petite women – but also helps us reach even more people who can benefit from what we’re building.

Becoming an #SBS winner isn’t just about a moment of recognition – it’s the start of an exciting new chapter. From connecting with other passionate business owners to exploring new opportunities, this achievement is already opening doors for The Petite Lady.
I’m so grateful for the support we’ve received so far and excited for what’s next. A huge thank you to Theo and the #SBS community – and to all of you who’ve followed, joined, and supported our journey from day one.
If you’re a small business owner yourself, I highly recommend getting involved in #SBS. It’s simple: post about your business on X (Twitter), Instagram, or LinkedIn between 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm on a Sunday with the hashtag #SBS – and you might just find yourself part of this incredible community too.
Here’s to big things ahead for The Petite Lady – and to all the fellow small businesses dreaming big
